The Company known as Trip Advisor should be totally ashamed of their Un-ethical, un-professional business practices For some reason this web site thrives on slander, libel , character and business assisination, its almost like the meaner the review is, the better they think their personal ratings on the web are. This site allows a guest of a Hotel , Motel or Inn to make a comment, that comment can be good or bad in regards to the guests stay, if you review this web page, it only reads all negative comments, and the web master for this page allows the guest to literally use slanderous, and libelous comments , though it states that such language or use of words is not allowed, well they do allow it, as I am proof. Its the only web page, that says they allow the owner or management of the business to reply to the posted message, but when you try as an owner or manager, you are denied this action? now tell me why? this web site advertises that it is a biast review, how can they post that when they will only listen to one side of the story, every ligitimate Better Business Bureau listens to both sides of a story? not Trip Advisor They are literally bashing and blemishing peoples Business\\\' and personal reputations. this should be banned from the internet? is there no govt agecency that could conduct a full blown investigation on this web site Do you realize that you could be in competition with another business and they could spend hours and hours just sending in unauthourized reviews about your business to tarnish potential guests from coming to your busines establishment, Trip Advisor states that you are not to fraudulently make a review, but there is no way for your competitor to not make up a phony email address and bash away Web sites should be about the truth..not about lies and acqusations that can not be heard by both sides This web page is an insult to Business Ethics and Standards I want to get the word out there, some Business\\\' might not understand why their Business is not doing well, maybe you better check your Business\\\' name under Trip Advisor , that might be ther reason your sales have dropped Trip Advisor and its web master should be ashamed of themselves as they are not supplying any biast reviews to the public, they are thriving off the ratings from Bullies Michelle Campbell CEO of Madison\\\'s Haunted Inn 343 Durham Market Square North Kincardine, Ontario N2Z 1Z4 Michelle Kincardine, Ontario Canada

I just came back from cancun and i was victim of kidnapping express and extortion by the cancun police 2 times in less than 5 minutes ,the second time we got really scared because it was not too different from kidnaping express... the only difference is that the criminals where the 6 police officers! it was really scarry; we try to report it after and no one want it to help us in cancun. they want to keep this secret in mexico, but the worse part is that we said... well when we come back to USA we will let the people know, so i post it on tripadvisor.com on the cancun forum and tripadvisor.com and i was surprised to learn that they removed my comment. I posted again and they keep removing it. i was very responsible on my words very clean (just warning people that are going to cancun that the cancun police is doing this to tourist and they keep removing me from the forum next thing you know they cancel my account... i opened several other accounts and the cancel me again. The other users where in shock asking why do they remove me and the only thing i can think of is that they make allot of money from the resorts from cancun advertising on their website so they don\\\'t want bad thing about cancun to be post on their website. They claim in their website that they provide the truth about places by the users... tripadvisor.com \\\'GET THE TRUTH AND THEN Go\\\'

Knowingly allows fake reviews, deceiving the visitors to the website and defrauding hotel owners

Tripadvisor has a review system which allows anyone to post anything about any hotel, regardless of whether they have even stayed there. This allows all sorts of people to abuse the system.
An example: a hotel was blackmailed and told that if they didn\\\'t give a former guest some money, the guest would write a false malicious review to harm the business. Tripadvisor would not take down the false review nor would they allow the hotel management to respond properly to the review. The result is that anyone reading the review will get a false idea of the hotel and the hotel will lose bookings as a result.
Also, their copyrighted slogan \\\"get the truth\\\" is a complete lie. How is it possible to get the truth from a review system which is full of holes?
58 days ago by hujambo Never a truer word said. The whole site is filled with fake reviews either created by the accommodation providers or by a rival accommodator. To post a fake review, all you need is a hotmail account and away you go. Just looking at most of the reviews on the site, you\\\'ll see that a lot of reviewers join, post and never return. If you write to Trip Advisor and ask them to comment about obvious fake reviews, they won\\\'t return your emails.
43 days ago by Betty I couldn\\\'t agree with you more. The BBB has listed them as not an accredited business and given them a grade of C+. The BBB complaint list gives a false impression since they won\\\'t take a complaint unless it involves a financial transaction which invalidates all of these type of complaints. However, the Massachusetts Attorney General will take complaints and has said she will take action against them if she gets enough complaints. Also contact Clark Howard at ClarkHoward.com and post your comments as he is always plugging them.
